Housing

How many students are living in hotels right now? How many students would like housing but there simply is not enough room for everyone? Well, if anyone reading this needs a room, there will be an open room in Towers for the spring semester, room 507west. Your roommate is a wonderful, fun girl named Meg and the room will be fully paid for by yours truly. I won’t be residing there, but our understanding housing committee has graciously allowed me to continue paying them. Of course, six to eight weeks after the semester begins I will be kicked out of housing for not paying my $3,000 balance (which I do not have the money for), and given ten days to leave, yet I will still be charged for this room of mine. Those of you desperatley trying to get into housing must know that there simply isn’t any room for you, because those of us who cannot afford to attend Boston University next semester while remaining in housing are being forced to take a leave of absence, but not to worry, our room is being held for us, and we are being charged in full for it. Don’t be mistaken, I took all the proper steps, I petitioned my housing agreement. I was told by the lovely Kit McGinn that my petition was denied because the housing agreement is for a year. So then what exactly was I petitioning, Ms. McGinn? Apparently our right to petition simply means that they tell us they are very sympathetic, they look at each case separatley, then send us a pre-typed denial letter. Then again, if I get kicked out of housing for smoking weed, I will get my money back for my room and board according to the cancellation calendar. This University has been ever so helpful, and I appreciate the true committment to education (as long as one has paid for that empty room that cannot be given to another). So if anyone would like a room for the Spring semester, email me at[email protected].
